well, she made it. today marked the third year Ruby has survived with our family. so many great things to look forward to. this year Ruby's birthday fell on school picture day. so things were a bit rushed as we got three heads of hair done just so and mom dressed to so we could do our PTA duty and help out with the first wave of pictures at school. none the less with daddy's help Ruby had her birthday pancakes and practiced her candle technique - still figuring that out! this year we invited a few friends over to share cupcakes and play with the new to us vintage kitchenette in the playroom. lots of fun times. all our family joined us for some purple butterfly birthday cake, decorated by dad who did an amazing job for a first time pastry artist. Ruby's little personality is so intense. she loves to be happy, but isn't afraid to tell you how it is if she isn't feeling the love. I love her timid beginnings to new things but soon she jumps right in and has a ball! here is to many more adventures ahead!
