we lucked out this summer and happened to have friends from out of town stop by looking for us to play. happily we were in the right place at the right time and they found us looking for some fun, too. each time it was the perfect day to go to the zoo!
we rode the carousel and saw the cats prowling about at the cat house one day with these far away friends living in a corner of paradise, U.S.A. they are the owners of this amazing house. but the planets aligned and found the perfect "job" (is it work if you are in love with what you get to do for a living?) and they are now living the high life in another pocket of California. can't wait to pop in on them for a visit.
we saw the amazing bird show another day with friends living near the Black Hills of South Dakota. anther road trip we need to make - to visit Rushmore and do a little gourmet cooking with the likes of this accomplished cook.(Liz, how I miss your inspiration and encouragement. especially after a summer of too much take out...)
this bird show was incredible, a must see if your at Utah's Hogle Zoo.
how often do you get to be this close to a Bald Eagle, not to mention a Golden Eagle? these birds are huge, gorgeous and AMAZING to witness in flight.
we were so happy to see these friends and hang out for a day. fun on the fly is always welcome, so stop and by and share some time with us at the zoo. always good times to be had.

That Bald Eagle looks like he is eying down Ella, is she small enough for him to swoop and grab?
